AssistWare has been awarded a $3M contract by the US Department of Transportation as part of a $25M program to test and develop technologies to help drivers avoid crashes. Along with partners The University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI), Eaton Corp., Visteon Corp., Honda R&D Americas Inc., Battelle Memorial Institute and the Michigan Department of Transportation, AssistWare will develop, deploy, and test a new integrated crash warning system on a fleet of passenger cars and heavy-duty commercial trucks.
AssistWare Technology announced the release and immediate availability of the latest version of SafeTRAC. This new release is the third generation of their revolutionary SafeTRAC product, which is the only device to combine both lane departure and drowsy driver warning into a single system.
